New IRM Hub in Nairobi to Drive Africa’s Risk Management Agenda

Africa’s capacity to manage emerging and complex risks is set to receive a major boost following the launch of the Risk Management Hub in Africa, a new subsidiary of the Institute of Risk Management (IRM).

The hub will deliver professional training, recognised risk management qualifications, and advisory services across the continent. It will also spearhead partnerships with governments, NGOs, and academia to embed robust governance practices in fast-growing economies.

“With Africa projected to be home to some of the fastest-growing economies and youngest populations globally, this hub is strategically placed to help institutions anticipate risks and seize opportunities,” said Joyce Ndirangu, who will lead the hub from Nairobi.

Chairperson Dorothy Maseke noted that the subsidiary is the result of years of collaboration among regional experts: “This milestone reflects our commitment to advancing risk management standards in Africa.”
