“You Cannot Intimidate Me”: Rosemary Okuta Demands Free and Fair ODM Grassroots Elections in Nairobi

Incoming ODM Nairobi leader Rosemary Okuta has declared she cannot be intimidated as she pressed for fair grassroots elections in the capital, saying she is fully prepared to contest for the chairperson position.

Okuta, who has been rallying party members around her bid, said the ODM must practice the democracy it preaches, warning against attempts to manipulate the polls in favor of the incumbent, Catherine Okoth.

"You cannot intimidate me. I have everything required to vie for this seat," she stated, adding that the “D” in ODM must be seen through transparent and fair elections.

Her remarks highlight escalating tensions within Nairobi ODM politics as grassroots elections approach, with rival factions sharpening their campaigns in the battle for control of the city branch.
