Incoming ODM Nairobi Chairlady Rosemary Okuta Warns Opponent, Demands Free and Fair Grassroots Elections lections

Incoming ODM Nairobi Chairlady Rosemary Okuta has issued a strong warning to her rival Catherine Okoth, urging her to be prepared to accept defeat in the upcoming grassroots elections.

Okuta said ODM women in Nairobi will no longer tolerate intimidation, insisting that the party must uphold its democratic values by ensuring transparent and fair polls.

“Stop threatening women. ODM is a democratic party and we are demanding free and fair grassroots elections,” Okuta declared, breathing fire as she rallied her supporters.

Her remarks come at a time when women leaders in ODM have been voicing frustrations over what they describe as exclusion and mismanagement under Okoth’s leadership. With the grassroots elections looming, the contest between the two leaders is shaping up to be a fierce battle for control of the ODM Women’s League in Nairobi.

Okuta’s tough stance reflects growing pressure within the party to deliver credible elections as ODM gears up for its 20th anniversary celebrations.
