Matungulu MP Codemns Machakos MCA Assult, Sends Strong Warning to 'Machakos Girls'

Matungulu member of Parliament(MP) Stephen Mule has strongly codemned what happened to Kalama member of County Assembly (MCA) Boniface Maeke at Machakos County.

The MCA attracted alot of controversy after been stripped naked and asaulted by City Council officers.

Speaking at function in his constituency, the MP noted that what happened in machokos is very unacceptable and warned that the male species was endangered.

The legislator further said that Wiper party should be distanced from the incident that happened last week.

Mule wants the investigative bodies handling the case to ensure the mastermind of the incident are unraveled and serious action taken against them.

“Let those behind the attack carry their own cross because we cannot assume these officers were acting on their own,” Mule went on.

Mule further expressed concern on why 'machakos girls' referring to machakos women leaders have not codemned the act.

The MP noted that what happened was a plot by this leaders to take power from men in the county, something they will not allow to happen

It is a major setback for the Private Security Regulatory Authority (PSRA) after the Ministry of Interior and National Administration’s Ad Hoc Appeals Committee ordered the regulator to immediately reinstate the licences of nine private security firm’s. PSRA had revoked licences of the nine private securities companies for allegedly failing to comply with minimum wage requirements among other breaches. At the same time, the Appeals Committee quashed Legal Notice NO. PSRA/001/2024 issued by the regulator. “The appeals by the nine (9) companies be and hereby allowed,” reads the order, further barring the 9 firms from filing any law suits for damages in respect to the suspension of the licences by PSRA. Labour Cabinet Secretary Florence Bore’s effort to convene a consultative meeting to try and halt a mass gathering of private security guards to demand a minimum monthly salary of KSh30,000 slated for Nairobi on Saturday, March 30 has flopped due lack of attendance by invited stakeholders.
