Concerned Citizens of Kenya Coalition Calls for Release of Arrested Youths and Repeal of Finance Bill

By Bruno Aero

The Concerned Citizens of Kenya Coalition (CCK) is urgently calling on President William Ruto to release all youths detained during recent demonstrations against the draconian "Finance Bill."

CCK is demanding the complete removal of the Finance Bill, arguing that it is unconstitutional and unfit for the Kenyan context.

"Kenyans cannot live under American or British economic models," stated a CCK leader Prof. Fred Ogolla.

The group emphasized that Kenya is already the most overtaxed nation in Africa, and further tax burdens are not a viable path to economic growth.

The coalition highlighted the significant opposition from Kenya's Gen Z, who have taken a stand against the Kenya Kwanza government's policies.

CCK declared, "It is high time this government is removed from power."

In a bid to restore governance that reflects the people's will, CCK has announced a nationwide campaign to collect signatures aimed at ousting the current regime by December.
