Mwatate MP Aspirant Kobie Mughenyu Joins DAP-K, Confident of 2027 Victory

Mwatate parliamentary aspirant Kobie Mughenyu has officially joined the Democratic Action Party-Kenya (DAP-K), expressing confidence that this move will secure his victory in the 2027 elections.

Mughenyu, who has previously contested and lost twice, believes that aligning himself with DAP-K gives him a greater chance of success. "I have vied two times before, but this time I am confident of my win because I have joined the winning party," he stated.

He cited the party’s commitment to youth inclusion as one of the key reasons for his decision. "I am 100 percent sure that this time round, I will be taking this home," he added.

DAP-K, which is currently receiving new members, has been expanding its influence across the country. Recently, the party welcomed new members from Kiambu, Vihiga, and Nairobi counties. Party leaders have urged young people to join the movement and prepare to challenge the Kenya Kwanza government in the 2027 general elections.

DAP-K has been positioning itself as a strong opposition force, rallying for change and advocating for youth empowerment in national leadership.
