Faith Odhiambo Leads Law Society of Kenya in Demanding Accountability from Judiciary and Police December 24, 2024 – Nairobi, Kenya The Law Society of Kenya (LSK), led by its President, Faith Odhiambo, has called for urgent reforms and accountability within the Judiciary and the National Police Service. This follows what the Society describes as a growing culture of impunity and human rights violations by state institutions. In a press statement, President Odhiambo condemned recent incidents, including the alleged abduction of two Kenyans, Billy Mwangi and Peter Muteti, on December 21, 2024. The two men were reportedly taken by police officers, a violation of constitutional guarantees under Article 49, which protects the rights of arrested persons. “We demand the immediate and unconditional release of Billy Mwangi and Peter Muteti or their presentation in court to face lawful charges.
