During this meeting, the NCCK met with President William Ruto to voice their concerns about the government's handling of public dissent. By Vincent Munga Five community youth organizations have benefitted from a Sh 23,950,000 award to support their innovative ideas towards environmental sustainability and conservation. The award by Kenya Community Development Foundation (KCDF) under its young environmentalist innovative challenge (YEIC), aims at developing action-oriented young individuals and youth-led organizations committed to the conservation of the environment.  The winners included Inua DamSite from Nyandarua County, EcoRich Solutions and Placom Manufacturers from Nairobi County, and Farmer Lifeline Technologies and Fruity Schools Africa from Kiambu County. By Bruno Aero The Concerned Citizens of Kenya Coalition (CCK) is urgently calling on President William Ruto to release all youths detained during recent demonstrations against the draconian "Finance Bill."  CCK is demanding the complete removal of the Finance Bill, arguing that it is unconstitutional and unfit for the Kenyan context.  "Kenyans cannot live under American or British economic models," stated a CCK leader Prof. Fred Ogolla.  The group emphasized that Kenya is already the most overtaxed nation in Africa, and further tax burdens are not a viable path to economic growth.
