PRINTAN Unveils Powerful and Affordable SINOTRUK HOWO MAX Truck in Kenya

In a major boost for Kenya’s commercial transport sector, PRINTAN, the authorised dealer for SINOTRUK HOWO, has officially launched the SINOTRUK HOWO MAX truck in Nairobi, introducing a vehicle designed to tackle the region’s toughest logistics challenges while remaining affordable and efficient.

Unveiled during a high-profile launch event, the HOWO MAX was showcased as a next-generation solution for businesses involved in construction, cross-border trade, and long-haul cargo delivery. The truck is engineered for durability, cost-effectiveness, and comfort, specifically tailored to meet the needs of Africa's dynamic transport environment.

Speaking at the event, PRINTAN CEO Hossein Goudarzi highlighted the truck's game-changing potential:

"We position ourselves as the company selling durable, quality, and innovative trucks at affordable prices for ease of long-distance heavy load transportation, and we are thrilled to bring the HOWO MAX to Kenyan roads," said Goudarzi.

"It is engineered specifically for our terrain, with upgraded features and unmatched reliability at a much lower total cost than others in the market."

The SINOTRUK HOWO MAX is a 6x4 Prime Mover (Model: ZZ4257V344KC1R RHD) and comes packed with advanced features designed to deliver both performance and comfort.

Key specifications include a high-roof MAX-E cabin with air suspension, dual berths, air conditioning, and multifunctional steering for driver comfort during long hauls. It is powered by a 480HP MAN technology engine (MC13.48-30, Euro 3), optimised for regional fuel standards, and equipped with a 16-speed AMT gearbox with VOITH retarder for smooth gear shifts and better control.

Dual fuel tanks (750L + 300L), heavy-duty suspension, and a robust German-technology frame ensure the truck can handle Kenya’s demanding terrain. Advanced safety features include ABS, AGM battery, stabiliser bars, and reinforced lighting protection.

Targeting business owners in logistics and long-distance transportation, the HOWO MAX promises improved operational efficiency with a spacious cabin, upgraded components, and strong chassis performance.

PRINTAN’s localized presence enhances its support offerings, ensuring customers have access to maintenance and after-sales services throughout Kenya. According to Goudarzi, PRINTAN’s exclusive dealership gives customers a strategic advantage, including access to genuine parts, customized financing, and priority on innovations.

As one of the largest truck manufacturers globally—with over 1.7 million units produced annually and more than 300,000 heavy-duty trucks—SINOTRUK’s scale enables competitive pricing without compromising on quality. The HOWO brand currently enjoys a 55% market share in Kenya’s heavy-duty vehicle segment, underlining its dominance and trust in the region.

Under the slogan “Always Moving, Always Earning,” PRINTAN and SINOTRUK continue to drive progress in Africa’s transport industry by delivering rugged, high-performance vehicles built for productivity and profit.
